Moore Montessori Community School Earns a "B" on ScHOOL Performance Grade

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (Sept. 2, 2026) — Moore Montessori Community School (MMCS) earned a School Performance Grade of "B" in the 2025-26 accountability results released today by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. The school's performance score rose seven points in a single year to 71, the highest score MMCS has earned in the five years for which state results have been reported.

"We are thrilled that our school has earned a School Performance Grade of 'B,'" said Katherine Rucker, executive director of Moore Montessori Community School. "These results, with achievement scores up in reading, math and science, reflect the hard work of our students and staff, as well as years spent building strong academic foundations. Test scores are one important measure of success as we continue our mission of preparing students for lives of joy and purpose in the 21st century."
